As of today, the SVG Logo and Text Effects (SLATE) plugin is hosted on the WordPress.org plugin repository:

https://wordpress.org/plugins/slate/

This means that you can install the plugin from within the WordPress admin interface.

It also means that if you’re a command-line type of person who likes to use wp-cli, you can now install with:

wp plugin install slate --activate
