    but you can see the id

    The same issue.
    When the API Key short code is placed anywhere, it shows 2 fields in the front end.One for the user ID and second one is for the API key for that user.
    But, the API field is empty.
    If we click regenerate key, it says that the old key will be replaced and stays empty.
